ERS Medical pleased to support Ghana Rural Integrated Development charity
ERS Medical is pleased to offer assistance to the charitable organisation, Ghana Rural Integrated Development (GRID), providing courier and transport services.
GRID is a North American Christian charitable organisation that enables sustainable community development in the northern region of Ghana. This region is significantly poorer than the rest of the country, with healthcare being inaccessible for most people.
GRID contacted ERS Medical seeking transport support for Consultant Surgeon, Magdi Hanafy, 34 boxes of equipment and supplies to be transported to Manchester Airport for their onward journey to Ghana.
This particular mission proved to be a success with the team seeing over 12,000 patients, carrying out 250 lifesaving surgeries and 100 vision saving treatments as well as training seven Ghanaian healthcare professionals.
Magdi Hanafy commented, “Although ERS Medical were not with us in Africa, you helped us and contributed to the success of our mission – thank you.”
