Sprinting across the finish line at the Plymouth Half Marathon
ERS Medical would like to congratulate all the runners who took part in the Plymouth Half Marathon on the 27th of April. The event was a great success with an estimated 5,000 runners coming together to raise money for their chosen charities. ERS Medical was proud to sponsor The Chestnut Appeal and is very pleased that over £3000 has been raised for the charity so far.
Lesley-Ann Simpson, Charity Director of The Chestnut Appeal said: “Thank you to everyone who ran the Plymouth Half Marathon in aid of The Chestnut Appeal & also to ERS Medical who sponsored their running vests. We really do appreciate your support, without your kind help & help from other local people just like you we wouldn’t be able to assist so many men with prostate cancer and fund nurses, treatment and equipment right across our region.
Although sponsorship is still coming in, it looks like we have raised just under £3000 which an amazing achievement, thank you so very much. ”
The Chestnut Appeal aims to raise awareness of the early symptoms of prostate cancer. The charity relies solely on public donations and events such as the Plymouth Half Marathon are imperative in raising funds to invest in treatments and technology.
