Managing Your Mental Wellbeing
Working from home prevents us from having our usual daily interactions and may influence our mental health. So, what can we do to help ourselves during this time?
Checking the news and social media
Try and check any news and Social media post regarding COVID-19 once in the morning and once in the evening – this is enough to keep you up to date and safe. Any advice you read should come from reliable sources. Any work-related news will be sent via email or relayed by your line manager.
Setting a routine
Try to treat your working day like any other, get up in good time before you start work, shower, get dressed, take regular breaks throughout the day and eat properly.
Outside of work hours, do things you usually enjoy doing. Watch a film, call your friends, and play games.
Stay in contact
Stay in contact with work colleagues, family and friends by one of the many means of technology available, we might not be physically able to meet up, but we can still stay in touch.
Exercise
Go for a walks/ run or do one of the many online workouts.
Maintaining good mental health throughout this time may be difficult but anything you can do to help yourself and that of the people close to you can make all the difference.
